Suffering and Sorrow: Released

All suffering and sorrow feelings are due to un-forgiveness energy.  Where there is sorrow, there is  un-forgiveness energy.   The two exist together.  What can we do about sorrow and suffering energy?

Head in Hands by Alex E. Proimos

Craig and Dana have been married 18 years.  They love each other, are happily employed, have two children and are healthy.  However their sex life by their own report has always been difficult.  They have a long history of missed opportunities, guilt feelings, sadness energy, failure and frustration energy with each other sexually.  Yet there is love on both sides for the other.  They have “tried everything” including therapy, changing techniques, weekend get-aways with support groups, videos, talking with trusted friends. They have yelled, accused, defended and attacked each other repeatedly through the years.  They have also tried calmly taking with each other about what is missing, wrong and not working.

After years of deep sorrow and frustration,  we talked about forgiveness.  Their work began with forgiveness of self for all their perceived failures, the years of unsuccessful attempts at loving intimacy and for their own judgments they held about their partners.

This is what it looked like.  Dana would sit in silence and ask to be shown places of un-forgiveness she carried about herself regarding her sexual relationship with Craig. She would sometimes get a snippet of a past conversation, a fragment of an argument or a memory of a specific weekend where she had sobbed in great anguish. She would focus on one of these images from the past and say, “I forgive myself totally and completely.” She might say this 20 or 30 times or more if the pain was especially raw.  Sometimes she cried so hard, she reported having to write out the forgiveness statements because she could not speak them aloud.  Sometimes the same situation or memory would surface again weeks later and she would have to forgive herself all over again.

Craig was following his own process as well.  He tended to remember specific times where he felt he had failed and worked through those scenarios at first.  As these receded in intensity, other memories presented themselves where he had been deeply sad, then others where he had been frustrated and eventually times of feeling guilty surfaced.  Both Dana and Craig were led in Silence to different processes for their individual work.

holding hands by annstheclaf

When they got to a place where no more need for self -forgiveness was coming up, they switched to forgiveness of each other.  Slowly, slowly compassion for self and for each other began to surface.  They were able to spend intimate time together in tiny steps with no expectations. The beginning steps made without the mantel of the  past led to more trust, more success, more expressed loving wholeness over time. They began to find their way together by retuning to forgiveness of self and each other when they hit more road blocks. They both reported success in their efforts to spend intimate time together.  They also reported that throughout their entire lives, they were seeing new evidence of this forgiveness energy working and smoothing out other challenges they faced.

Forgiveness work, whatever the topic is, has to begin with ourselves.  We have to forgive ourselves for what we see as our anger, sadness, mistakes, ignorance, etc.  This is the only way we can totally and completely forgive another person from the heart.  Both parts of this process, forgiveness of self and of another have to be taken together.  Forgiveness of self allows the forgiveness of another to fully manifest. If we do not see our own brokenness and sorrow and move to release it from our energy field, we will never be able to forgive another wholly and completely. Suffering and sorrow then remain with us in our energy field.

Karl was divorced by his wife after 22 years of marriage.  They were in counseling for a year before the divorce was final but his wife felt the situation was irreconcilable.  When I began working with Karl,  he was still very angry, deeply hurt, with feelings of abandonment, mistreatment and rage.  He could not feel any energy for a new relationship even 4 years after his divorce.  He felt betrayed through no fault of his own.

Anguish Ian (or:The Scream) by sparktography

When we began talking about self-forgiveness, he was totally closed to this.  He was divorced by his wife after all.  Karl told me his wife was the one at fault and he had nothing to forgive himself about.   We continued to talk about his feelings around this divorce and eventually we tried a session in sacred space, where he simply said, “I forgive myself totally and completely”,  over and over until it felt complete for that day.  There was no image of what that forgiveness might be about specifically.  He worked with this for several weeks and eventually the dam broke and he was able to grieve the loss and forgive himself for all the things he was blaming himself for, which he could not see nor name at the time.

Divine Grace was present in these sessions working with his unseen energy, unseen by me and by him as well.  Nonetheless, the forgiveness progressed and in time he also did the needed work in forgiving his wife.   He eventually began to date other people and reported he was a different person completely from who he had been in his earlier marriage.  He tells me he still uses that process especially around things he does not understand  but knows are out of balance.

Steps to take when suffering and sorrow are present.

1. Create a sacred space by saying, I open a sacred space with my I AM Energy/Eternal Self/Spiritual Self and Divine Presence in the highest forms ( angels, ascended teachers, divine ancestors, nature intellegences, etc.)  to help me forgive myself.

2.  Sit quietly to settle into the sacred space.  Set the intention of your work by stating in your mind that the forgiveness work is around your marriage, your relationship with your mother, the loss of your child or spouse, the relationship with your boss, specific abuse or trauma you have experienced,  etc.

3. Begin silently to yourself saying,   “I forgive myself totally and completely“.  Repeat this until you feel this in your heart.  You might put your hands on your heart as you are saying this.

4.  If  you try this for 15 minutes and feel little or nothing, try this.  “Sacred Flame from within me, consume any blocked emotional, mental, self-protective ( thermal) energy, spiritual energy or curse energy I am manifesting which is keeping me from being able to forgive myself.  I command this stuck energy out of my field, now. Thanks be to God/All That is. ”  Wait 5 minutes in this energy.

5. Return to #3 again.  If  this is still not working, write this out in a journal, again and again.  However, remember to open a sacred space within which to work.  This is most important!

6. When you feel no more un-forgiveness of self is present, which could take days or months,  use this same process for others in your situations.  “I forgive ___________ totally and completely.” Even when you are working with the death of another, do this part of the work.  Often we are angry, sad and out of balance with a loved one for having left us here without them.

Sunset and balancing rock stack by James Jordan

This process works because when we open Sacred Space we engage our Eternal, Spiritual Selves and all the Loving Presence of All That Is to help us heal.  When we surrender to loving forgiveness, we return to our natural state of balance which has left us due to experiences in the past.  We come into the present and thereby heal from the past.

Spirits Having a Human Experience (2/2)

See Part One
Spirits Having a Human Experience (1/2)

As we learn about ourselves as spiritual beings having a human experience, new perceptions of ourselves emerge. Here are some discoveries which have been helpful to me in my spiritual and human journey.  Being both spiritual and human beings takes some attention and some sorting out regarding what our spiritual beings are capable of and how to live with this unseen potential we all possess.

Our energy field extends way beyond our physical bodies.  We intuitively sense this.  Have you ever been in a room with people and feel a compulsion towards some and an attraction towards others?  This is energy connecting and repelling and this goes on all the time.  In general though, we forget about such feelings or diminish their importance because we think of our physical bodies as our full selves.

As human beings,  we mostly have very limited views of our energy’s scope and breadth. The more consciously aware we are of our connection with All That Is, the greater our energy extends beyond our bodies. The more time in Stillness and Silence, the more sense we have of our expansive selves.  Some beings in body are even extending beyond this earthly dimension in their commitments to help bring Balance and Peace to others.

Chakras by Robbi Baba

Some beings here have already ascended into the Light and they have chosen to consciously return to this dimension to be in service with others.   In Sanscrit, these beings are known as the bodhisattva.  This does not mean however that they do not have to move through the same stages of expanding consciousness again, while in body. Their process though may be easier, quicker and more dramatic as they have already taken those steps in other incarnations. This concept is found in the Buddhism.

The bodhisattva among us are those who can teach us of the namaste.  Namaste is a state of being which in part refers to the Light of a spiritually aware person readily recognizing the light in another, thereby helping all humanity to remember our connection with All That Is.  The words to one song about this are ” The Light in me beholds the Light in you”.  This sums up namaste rather succinctly.

Fear, negativity, darkness and anger is created through our human selves and therefore can be released through our human desire to be free of these thoughts and feelings. Kindness, love, gratitude and appreciation is created through our connected spiritual selves which is eternally One With All That Is.  Love is the only lasting energy of the Universe.  All other energies we are passing through on the way to remembering our own true selves as spirit beings of the Light.

Religious practices and paths have some accurate takes on Divine Presence and some inaccurate takes on Divine Presence as well. Only a spiritually seeking person can discern between that which is of the Light and that which is not of the Light.  This is our gift and responsibility.  Discernment requires Silence and Stillness in rather large amounts so that we can hear our own still small voice of All That Is amidst the noise of our human existence.

Oneness by h.koppdelaney

We are eternally connect to All That Is, though we have to seek ways to discover this every time we are in body. Further, there is no requirement that we must discover this connection while in body.  We can choose to live our lives in any way we want to.  All our choices however have consequences.  If we create and nurture imbalance, imbalance will manifest in our bodies and our lives.  If we create and nurture balance, balance will manifest in our bodies and our lives.

There are wide ranging terms for Divine Presence, including God, The Great I AM, All That Is, Divine Oneness, Great Creator, Yahweh, Allah, Elohim, Allaha, The Almighty, Lord, The Holy Spirit, etc.  Further, Divine Presence is available to us in a myriad of energy forms including Angels, Archangels,  Angelic Host, Ascended Masters, Divine Cosmic Light Beings, Nature Intelligences, Divine Ancestors and Divine Physicians, to name a few.   This Energy is available to all beings as we become increasingly conscious of these differentiated forms of Divine Presence.

All humans are eternally connected to All That Is even if we do not know this and even if we choose anger, violence or abuse in our human lives.  We can never be separated from the Love of All That Is.  However our human choices for imbalance in our lives can feel like we are separated from Divine Love, because when we can’t see that spark of Divinity within ourselves,  so we have no way to know of the Divine Love that is all around us and within us.  This Divine Presence can become invisible to us if we choose imbalance as a way of living.

Choose Love. Choose to believe in the goodness and power of Light within yourself. Choose to see the the wholeness that you are and forgive the imbalance, the lapse in love actions and the judgements along the way.  Choose the path of Joy, Delight, Balance and Creativity for then you are as close to Divine Energy as is possible in our human dimension.   Gift yourself with Stillness and Silence for there is a world of loving wholeness awaiting you every time you step into your spirit energy.

Spirits Having a Human Experience (1/2)

Most of us in body, in this Earth dimension,  generally think of ourselves as humans having an occasional spiritual experience.  However as our consciousness expands, perhaps more accurately said, “We are not human beings having a spiritual experience. We are spiritual beings having a human experience.” This quote is from Pierre Teilhard de Chardin (1881-1955), the French philosopher and Jesuit priest.

Paradise Bridge by h.koppdelaney

The one and only thing that a group of renown spiritual teachers, mystics and writers including Deepak Chopra, Barbara Kingsolver, and Marianne Williamson agreed on after days together in conference was that we are spirit beings having a human experience. Assuming this may indeed be so, there are some implications for living as spiritual humans which can help us  on our journeys.

We are here first and foremost in our bodies for some reason, otherwise we would be elsewhere.  Repeatedly, it seems that we are here to work on our relationship to All That Is/God/Great Oneness.  We come with all sorts of baggage from previous incarnations and we continue to accumulate baggage in this lifetime as well.  However, perhaps because all healing must take place in the dimension in which we incurred the imbalance, we return repeatedly and attract to ourselves conditions which give us the opportunity to heal, come into wholeness, peace, joy and balance.

Could it all be as simple as our being here to clear our minds, bodies and souls from fear and blocked energies which we are carrying within ourselves? Is life being given in body so that this time we may choose Love and Peace, Wholeness and Balance?  Could our ancestors be looking on saying,

  • MAYBE THIS TIME, she will choose Love and Wholeness.
  • MAYBE THIS TIME, he will choose Peace and Joy.
  • MAYBE THIS TIME, they will keep the deep spirit ways close to themselves and find Loving Kindness in all things.
In Chains by purplemattfish

When we release blocked, negative energy, we diminish our sense of darkness and our feelings of separation from All That Is.  Our consciousness expands as fear receeds. We become more aware of our connection with All That Is, The Great Oneness and increasingly aware of our spiritual selves.

We have free will so we can choose to explore our spirituality in this lifetime or we can choose to completely ignore our spiritual selves. We can spend as much time as we like ignoring our spiritual selves. However, there are a range of imbalances in the soul of each person in body which can only be re-balanced while we are in body and when we decide to work on our inner sense of peace.  All our perceptions of our outer lives are formed through our sense of inner Peace.

Meditation can allow us to temporarily escape the human requirements of our lives and be in Silence and Stillness.  The process of entering a meditative state eventually helps our minds and bodies to remember the feeling of inner balance.  Often in the beginning of this process, however, we must face the areas of our lives which are out of balance.

Spirit + Nature by h.koppdelaney

Places of stillness can also be reached through yoga, long distance runs, dancing, biking and swimming to name a few. Reaching this state, through movement is sometimes known as hitting the “zone”.   Others can find deep Stillness in gardening, walking in nature, painting or creating.  All efforts towards stillness result in our remembering what balance feels like.

Prayer is the conscious request for Divine Energy to help us in our quest for greater Peace and Balance.  Prayer is like speaking to our deepest Divine Knowing within ourselves and calling upon other available spiritual energy to support our  journeys or that of another.  Prayer in its most powerful sense is a call to balance.

Fear is the opposite of Love.  We therefore have to name our fears and face them. Further, in order to become free of those thoughts and feelings we have to caste the fear out or deny any further power to that fear which we may be holding onto.  This allows us to fully embrace Love in our lives. All acting out, physically or emotionally stems from fear, often fears we do not recognize but none the less, fears we are expressing.

When I am out of balance, one question brings me to a place deeply within.  I have finally learned to remember to ask myself,  what fear is producing this imbalance within me?  This is one of the most important questions we can ask along the way to inner Peace. to be continued…

The Dark or The Absence of Light? Part 2

*Read The Dark or The Absence of Light: Part One

We can choose to be afraid or trusting.   We can choose to be selfish or generous.  We can choose to be welcoming or restrained.  Each and every choice we make for the goodness of the greater whole produces more balance.  Each and every choice we make which is not for the goodness of the greater whole produces more imbalance.

The greater the imbalance we feel within ourselves, the greater these imbalances manifest in our lives.  There is however no dark entity of dark power to be reckoned with sometimes known as the dark side.  We can know we are connected in one part of our lives to the Light and we can feel disconnected in other parts of our lives from the Light.  In my case, I was very surprised that I felt attacked by something I envisioned as dark energy.  I had not felt that fearful energy for years and years and yet there it was showing its ugly head right after our car accident. (spoken about in part 1)

Regardless of where we are in our journey, what we  feel,  see,  sense, and experience is a reflection of the choice to be connected to the Light or the choice to be separated from the Light.  This leads us back to the accident.

Why did that accident really happen to us?  I kept asking this in my mind and had a hard time not getting an immediate answer.  I wondered if I had attracted that accident to us through some means, if I needed to pay a karmic debt that I was not aware of, or if I was being attacked by the dark. I gave a lot of power to this last thought.

There are multiple true answers to this question.  Each of us involved, my husband, the truck driver, and me experienced this same accident for different reasons.  I now feel that I had this accident to give me a chance to directly face my deeply hidden fear about some force I thought of as the dark.  This was not something I might take a Sunday afternoon to contemplate! As with most of us, I would probably always choose to engage in something else, anything else, actually.  I needed a deeply shocking experience to go into my own darkness and wrestle my way through all of that old stuck energy.

Next Dimension by By h.koppdelaney- Hartwig HKD

Even though I slogged through the darkness after the accident, I sensed the minute we were hit, at some unconscious level, that we were not hurt.  Immediately after the impact, I was led to pray for the complete and total healing of  our fear from our energy fields.  I felt an insulating energy drop in around us as the accident occurred and as the  investigation was taking place.  I also had the dawning thought with increasing certainty that the impact of the truck’s energy on our van was buffered by Divine Presence.  We were surrounded immediately by that Divine Energy of Light. We were protected from harm’s way.

This experience of the Divine Presence with us at the accident continued to be present while I wrestled with my own created fear of the darkness. That powerful knowing just stayed within my energy field through all my stages of anger, frustration, uncertainly and questioning I felt I needed to feel. During one phase of my deeply questioning and anger tinged state about this accident,   I asked about all the times I had been killed from this dimension.  I was told the number.  Then immediately following this exchange I heard, “but you agreed to that”.  I started to laugh knowing deeply that this was true.  Further, if this is true for me, then it is true for every one of us.  Even the “innocent bystander” leaves when it is his or her time to leave.  At the same time, an innocent bystander does not leave before it is his or her time either.

Yet the question remains, why do some come here and physically suffer and others come and mentally or emotionally  suffer? Our entire journey is about coming into balance within our own energy.  When we begin to experience this inside, it begins to manifest all around us in all our affairs.  Many of the challenges, problems, conflicts, situations we get into are a result of imbalances we have chosen in our lives.  If we need to “atone” or re-balance, from some past transgression we have caused, we have infinite ways that we can do that in a lifetime.

Balanced Rocks by By squarewithin- Matthew Trentacost

Parts of our lives can appear like suffering until we get that we are One with the Light and that we are being given our specific life circumstances so that deep imbalances in our human selves can be re-balanced with the Love of the Universe.  We may also have a life in which we are given the option of being here in illness or disability as a way to re-balance some huge transgression of our past or as a way to develop compassion for ourselves and others, or as an example of living with joy and grace with our disability for others to learn from.

We are given whatever we need to come into a more loving and whole space with All That Is.  We cannot judge by appearances for ourselves or for others. There is a Divine and Holy Order within this Earth dimension even though we may not be able to discern it. The process of re-balancing for the Goodness of the Whole is taking place, all the time for all people everywhere.

If you think you have brought imbalances, fears and transgressions of the past with you,  you can work them out before you are required to do so, in some totally WAKE UP fashion.  I recommend all the preemptive work we can do to clear the darkness, fear and imbalance we feel inside ourselves.

  • You can pray and ask forgiveness for all the people you have hurt throughout all space and time.
  • You can ask for all the debts of imbalance you have brought about in your times of  separation from the Light to be made whole in all ways by Divine Grace.
  • You can literally call in the healing energy of the Light for all those you have specifically hurt.
  • You can call for the fear of anything you know you are facing to be consumed by the Light of God/All That Is.

Of course, one has to have the feeling that restoring balance is important.  We are loved beyond all measure but knowing that at the soul level requires our acting in this energy. We need to embrace the fact that we can clear our old stagnant energies and past misdeeds by calling for this to happen.

We have to embrace a new intention for being here, one that embraces that all living is for the purpose of healing and thereby for coming into the Energy of the One, the Whole, the Eternal Community of Life. Then all is possible.

Guilt and Its Costs

Guilt is energy run amok.  Perhaps guilt comes about through the twisted thought that feeling guilty is a deserved response to a horrible choice we have made in the past.  Perhaps guilt is born when we have the feeling that we have let another person down.  Guilt can certainly surface when we know we have been seriously unkind or mean to another person or when we have indulged ourselves in ways that are bad for us.

Guilt serves you right... by Rob

Whatever its origins, Dr. David Hawkins author of  Power vs. Force says it is next to the lowest of all our emotional energies in vibration, just above shame.  Thus guilt is a energy drain on our being, physically, emotionally and mentally. Guilt is an emotion we have to chose to have and continue to hold and strengthen, by giving our power to it.

Elise is a medical intuitive.  She gives readings for people as a service for which she charges. Early in her career, Elise had a reading with a male, mid-sixties client and sensed energy imbalances on his arms.  She told him he had skin cancer and in this case, she was wrong about that diagnosis.  This was shared with her through an angry email which the client sent to her after he had had a skin biopsy taken of the places in question.  The client suggested she stop her readings if she was going to cause such upset for no reason.

In working with Elise five years later, she was still carrying deep guilt about this client. Elise was fearful about fully exploring and using her talents because she had been inaccurate other times as well.  This guilt was seriously interfering with her practice and desire to serve others.  My question to her was if perhaps she was picking up on cancer from another area of the client’s body.  She had had that very thought herself after the angry email arrived though with no way to pursue it.  Further, the client’s biopsies would have required a doctor’s approval so the client’s anger was somewhat misplaced.

When Elise asked in earnest for forgiveness for the impact of the inaccurate readings she had given in the past, the presence of guilt in her energy field cleared completely.  Then Elise was able to develop new information, safe-guards and protocols for the readings she wanted to offer. Elise’s taking on of the guilt was due to her own insecurities about her gift of intuition.  This is precisely why this situation was attracted to her, so these insecurities could be healed and she could move on.  It took 5 years to completely heal but that is a short time in eternity.

empty cage by h.koppdelaney

Where in your life are you taking on guilt?  Guilt is never useful and often masks the real steps that need to be taken to correct  a situation. Even if you feel guilty and responsible for your parents’ divorce or you lied or cheated and got some reward you did not earn,  guilt serves no good purpose for anyone. There is always an energy of the Light which will completely heal the feelings of guilt and remorse.  In Elise’s case, she needed to ask for forgiveness and receive it, in order to release the guilt.  In feeling guilty about one’s parents’ divorce, it is highly likely that shame about our own behavior or acute loss around the family unit is fueling feeling guilty about such a situation.  Misplaced energies can result seemingly in feelings of guilt.  If guilt lingers as a result of lying and getting some reward we have not earned, questions of self-worth and personal integrity can also be stirring the pot of guilt.

Remember, we take on guilt from a place of imbalance and we can set it down when balance is restored. Search for the real feelings and blocked energy masquerading as guilt.  There are always reasons we have chosen to hold onto guilt feelings. Guilt is something we allow in our energy fields and it does not support any good thing at all. In fact it is a major drain on our overall energy.  Guilt is a misplaced thought fueled by emotions of regret.

If you are feeling guilt energy, open a Sacred Space and ask yourself:

Why am I  holding onto this guilt energy?

Is there something I need to ask forgiveness for?

Is there some other energy I am carrying which is fueling or sustaining this guilt  energy?

What benefits am I getting by holding onto this guilt energy?

Then go into Silence and sit with Divine Knowing/Ascended Masters/All That Is, with these questions presented.  When you have done that, go about your life and wait until the desired insight is revealed to you.  It will present when you are ready to hear it.  The goal of identifying guilt energy is to ultimately release the blocked energy behind the feelings of guilt so that the guilt can also be released.

When you are ready to release blocked energy and guilt, ask Divine Presence:

to clear all blocked, stuck energy and  feelings from you energy field, masquerading as guilt

to clear all the guilt energy from you field

for forgiveness for all the pain you have caused self and others

to witness the thanks you are feeling for Divine Support

Then, write me and tell me about your experiences with casting out guilt.
