Woe engulfs my weary, broken heart
I hold a profoundly sickening sadness
I hear the calls of the forlorn, the mentally ill,
The outraged, the sick, and the hungry
My heart constricts in awe and shock
At the forcible separation of loved ones
At centuries old, repeating attacks from those who hate
At egregious sorrow over aggression, violence, and death
I literally feel ill at the repeating horror of rape
The numbing continuance of sexual abuse
The hiding of the darkness by all means
The lengths taken to save face for the perpetrators
Where is the presence of Love here?
Who is allowing this darkness agency?
Who is condoning the aggressors and the rapists?
When are we going to stand up and stop this madness?
Here I am, Lord, Is it I, Lord?
I have heard you calling in the night
I will go, Lord, if you lead me
I will hold your people in my heart*

God of all, hear my prayers
Respond with power and mightiness
Cleanse all souls living in virulent hatred
Cleanse all genetic patterns of horrific atrocities
Teach us Love of self and “other” that we may heal
We are the ones to carry the Light
We are the ones to speak up
We are the ones to vote for the greater whole
We can be the best ones we were sent here to be
*This verse is from Here I am Lord by Daniel Schutte, 1981.
Thank you, thank you!! So good to be reminded of the Light when everything is so dark. Any suggestions how we light carriers can help transform the darkness? It’s difficult to keep shining while interfacing with dark people. Feels like all you get back is more darkness. Increasingly there are days when all I want to do is put that basket back over my head! I realize that’s not an answer but it is wearying.
Your work is a blessing to me, thank you for uplifting my heart. Tina
Thank you Tina for your comments. I am so pleased this work speaks as a blessing to you. The major suggestion is to keep clearing for all sorts of fears that we all carry because then it will be harder for those carrying great darkness to negatively affect you. If you have continuously cleared fear for yourself, other people’s fears will not negatively affect you. Rather compassion for how they are feeling and where they are in their journey will be a natural response to whatever they say to you. Thus, you will not feel drained. Keep asking yourself, “how is this person’s reactions tapping into fears I am carrying”? That is a good practice for most anything that might take you out or drain you in relations with others. Use the Six-Step Protocol to help you do this! Robbins
Powerful Robbins. I am hearing my “call”. Only Love.
Thank you Robbins… This struck a personal chord in me. Also this is one of my favorite hymns. We are living among so much suffering….physical, emotional, mental, personal, national and international. Do the ones causing the suffering realize that their unknown suffering is causing visible physical trauma? So much to pray, forgive and show and give compassion to. Here I am Lord…. We need YOU…AMEN…
Thank you Diana for the comments! Regarding suffering and those causing it; it is highly unlikely that such persons realize they are causing visible physical trauma. Each person is at a different level of consciousness and when a person is causing suffering it is coming from their own suffering inside that has not healed. When this does heal, then they have a chance of recognizing the impact of their actions have on others. Robbins
