What is the basis of your faith?
At present, faith for me as a stand alone energy seems to have been surpassed by spiritual knowing energy. I would say that faith is a place holder until experiences confirm more surety. Faith is a great place to be when seeking. In my early explorations, I had a nagging, persistent feeling that there was something larger I was missing or not tuned into. I was guided repeatedly to vastly differing spiritual experiences and explorations. Perhaps that was faith in action, trying to get my attention.
Faith to me is a thought or image of what might be. This usually begins as a mental stance, followed by seeking, then expanding into knowing. Some people see faith based living as the opposite of the concrete nature of the physical world. I have discovered however that there are spiritual rules and truths which are very specific and concrete and that these truths apply to all beings.
One of these spiritual truths is knock and the door shall be opened. This is applicable to me as well as all humans. Of course, this refers to our interior journey and we need to keep knocking if we want to have more doors open. Another truth is, as you sow, so shall you reap. This is an absolute truth but because it may require several lifetimes to manifest, it may not always seem to be true. Here faith is called upon to leave the punishment or squaring of debts to Divine Presence.
These sayings are eternal truths that are not governed by humans. They cannot be shifted, influenced or changed by humans either. They therefore seem as concrete and specific as our human world just a bit more veiled. One has to consciously seek this unfolding. This brings us to a type of combined learning with faith perhaps providing the impetus to keep seeking.
The personal exploration into spiritual texts, teachings, and experiences grows faith which eventually leads to knowing. The knowing of Divine Presence grows gradually from repeated experiences with spiritual truths and through interactions with Divine Presence as our seeking expands. I find insightful inner experiences manifest again and again, when I can be silent and still.
Do you have any tips on how to get into a deep meditation when sitting home by oneself?
Go to a place where you can not be disturbed. I would suggest that you begin by opening Sacred Space. Then call aloud to join the energy of ‘world meditators of the Highest Light’ and let yourself float into that energy presence. Once you are connected to the energy flow and vibration of meditators of Highest Light, it will be easier to meditate yourself. You can more easily slip into their established meditation energy field than to create one by yourself. This is especially true when you begin to meditate or when there are many distractions in your mind or your life. It is always easier to go deeply into meditation with experienced meditators. Let me know how this works for you!
